flower: Je sui le vent

Stoning myself with ThatGameCompany’s flagship title, ‘flower’ reminded me of enjoying ‘NiGHTS into Dreams’ for the Saturn during the late 90’s. Here’s to an innovative title where you don’t have to put up with crappy actors, bad music and stupid Force-Unleashed-Like clunky controls. For a mere RM43 ringgit, this title’s a steal for a PS3 console and I recommend that you get it. Here’s what’s awesome:-

Beautiful scenery, very good use of colors.

Like flOw, you use only one button and the PS3’s sixaxis to move. In flower, you control the wind — your job is to fly down, touching other plants, opening their buds and eventually becoming this big-assed psychedelic dragon of rainbow sunshine petals.

The night scenes are the best. Your petals glow against the moonlight.

There can be so much to interpret about the game’s storyline, if there’s arguably any. But I’m sure the cut scenes will make you think a bit. If you have a PS3, this is one party game you shouldn’t be without. I can’t wait to let my friends play this title just to see their facial expressions. Excuse me while i stone myself some more.
