Monochrome Crown Jewel

in MM s5 Semester 8

Dekimashita! I have finally completed what I personally claim to be my mainstay for this semester; an experimental actionscript3 penseive of accomplishments deemed self worthy of being.. republished, re-mastered and redundantly repeated (lol see).

In other words, a gallery that is online to stake my claim, as a fallen advertising and graphic design individual to a more liberalized form of media and moving pictures.

I have banked every last bit of love, sweat blood and tears for this project since this will probably be one of the last pieces of work that I will do here with a trickle of sanity hanging like the peals of a necklace worn by  Luna Lovegood (who is quite a lass ain’t she).

The art direction’s transition is remarkably evident; you will begin to notice the projects on how bubbly cute and colorful everything started (Silent World or Project Miracle) and then suddenly everything becomes bland bound in black and white. I blame my time spent on debugging causing half the strain to be lost in the art concept.

I begin with a caution; do not click here! If your system’s not as good as MMLab3’s workstations, you’re better off devolving back into a jellyfish and returning to the ocean like the phylum cnidaria drifter you’ve become. Second tier: Streamyx or bust. Don’t venture with a dial up or you’ll probably have to figure out how to slay a fire dragon with a sword made of straw. Clearly, preparation isn’t everything. Here’s a list of updates:

:: Benjamin Encarnacion Online DGP Release Candidate 1a ::

  • improved music media bar with volume control

lol

  • More music to choose from
  • Frame rates improvement through PNG Vector debabelizing
  • 8 levels of parallax for motion scrolling
  • built in help for those who question everything
  • The stars twinkle(look carefully!)
  • sound enhancements for certain buttons
  • improved Social link: streamlined interface design
  • simplified Contact subsection: let’s talk business
  • About Me section slightly elaborated
  • Interaction rewards for clicking on the mother ship
  • pre-loader starts from 1% instead of 30%.

As of now I’m still uploading the portfolio directories. You can access the portfolio subsection but viewing the project is still MIA as of this publication’s date. You’ve seen the best part of my DGP project; the horribly twisted writing of this article. Now grab your prick and double click for porn porn porn an exceedingly rotten time.

awesome work ben, and you know it.

just a note –
when i click on your “about me”, and select the paper plane, which, of course i’m then greeted with more awesomeness – instead of selecting “go back” at the bottom, i select “close window and return home” at the top right, and i’m back to your main menu yeah?

after that i can’t select your “social” link anymore.
i’d have to go back to your about me page, click on “go back”, then “close window and return home”, and then the “social” link is activated again

:D

just to let you know!
ps: i love the glass breaking sound effect!

to Scott:

Paul our interviewer was quite happy with the work.. He just said I dressed too formal. I have to learn how to lighten up a bit.

to Joyce: Fixed :)

Thanks a lot for the feedback. The glass breaking effect was also used in Silent World; and noticeably a majority of the elements on this project were borrowed from earlier works. But that’s just cutting down the workload. Who’s got the time to build Rome on a stone road these days..

a trickle of sanity hanging like the peals of a necklace worn by Luna Lovegood (who is quite a lass ain’t she).

2 things:

1. Not quite my kinda lass. Well, to each his own…naughty fantasy.
2. The necklace’s probably pearl. Get it? AHAHA~ heh heh. Sorry.

I purposely elongated, exaggerated, elaborated… but my efforts were in vain. It surprises me to this day that there are those who read my wall of nautical nonsense. I guess I can’t hide anything these days. Kudos to you.
